Blair's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mercy Monarchs a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Blair got a big performance out of Laynie Brown, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brown has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jacy Schueth, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Blair hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in eight consecutive games.

Blair's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Mercy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Blair and Mercy will both be playing Elkhorn the next time they take the field. The Bears will head out to face the Antlers at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, while the Monarchs will host them at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
