The Troy Trojans entered their tilt with the Wellsboro Hornets with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Everything went Troy's way against Wellsboro on Wednesday as Troy made off with a 61-37 win. Troy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 24 points or more this season.
Troy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gloria Andrews, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Andrews has scored all season. Kailyn Sterling was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Troy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Wellsboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Troy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-33 win vs. Towanda on the 9th. Wellsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
