The Azusa Aztecs just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Upland Highlanders/Scots at 8:00 p.m. on December 12th. Azusa is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
On Monday, Azusa was beaten by Roosevelt 83-18. While losing is never fun, Azusa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 867th, while Roosevelt is ranked 85th).
The losing side was boosted by Ruby Untoria, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Azusa struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Upland came up short against Colony on Friday and fell 45-36.
Azusa's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Upland, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
