The Carolina International Comets had to endure a 19-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Queen's Grant. Carolina International's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Queen's Grant lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Triniti Hartis. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hartis has scored all season.
Carolina International's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8. As for Queen's Grant, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carolina International will challenge Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Queen's Grant will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Valor Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Valor Preparatory Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
