The Neligh-Oakdale Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Stuart with points to spare, taking the game 53-36. The win was some much needed relief for Neligh-Oakdale as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Neligh-Oakdale can attribute much of their success to Hailey Horstmann, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Neligh-Oakdale's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Stuart, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neligh-Oakdale will take on Wausa at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully Wausa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Stuart, they will be playing at home against Elgin/Pope John at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
