After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corcoran, the Lindsay Cardinals were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They breezed by Granite Hills on the road to the tune of 44-17. Lindsay pushed the score to 41-15 by the end of the third, a deficit Granite Hills had little chance of recovering from.
Lindsay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Melanie Navarro out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Navarro is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Brianna Jara was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Lindsay's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Granite Hills, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.
Lindsay will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Orosi at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Lindsay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Granite Hills, they will head out on the road to challenge Strathmore at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Granite Hills is coming into the game with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Strathmore will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
