Softball Recap: Stockbridge's Win Ends 13-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodland, Stockbridge was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the McDonough Warhawks 16-7. The Tigers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7, 2024 (when they won 14-2).

Alexandria Williams was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August. Lakayla Helms was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Stockbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Stockbridge's win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10. As for McDonough, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Stockbridge and McDonough will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Tigers see the field they'll take on Locust Grove at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for McDonough, their break will end when they face Eagle's Landing at 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
