The Mission Oak Hawks will be playing at home against the Redwood Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mission Oak comes in on four and Redwood on three.
Mission Oak has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Hanford West 62-23 at home. 62 seems to be a good number for Mission Oak as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Isabella Zepeda continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 8 steals. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Phoenix Ryan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Redwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Sanger on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Given Redwood's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Sanger is ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Redwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aryel Chavez, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Tayo, who scored 12 points along with 7 steals.
Mission Oak's victory lifted them to 4-0 while Hanford West's defeat dropped them down to 2-5.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Mission Oak hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 63.8 points per game. It's a different story for Redwood, though, as they've been averaging only 48.4 per game. The only thing between Mission Oak and another offensive beatdown is Redwood.
