Ashland-Greenwood came out on top against Fairbury on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Bluejays put the hurt on the Jeffs with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Jeffs: they've now won three in a row.

Alexis Hasse and Ellie Milburn did most of the damage at the plate: Hasse went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Milburn got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base was Hasse's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaycee Downing, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Ashland-Greenwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
