Coastal Academy came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Calvin Christian Crusaders. The Stingrays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ethan De La Cruz was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Joey Senigaglia, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Coastal Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Calvin Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Coastal Academy has already played their next contest, a 14-11 defeat against Escondido Charter on the 14th. As for Calvin Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-2 loss against Tri-City Christian on the 12th.
