After two games on the road, West Shores is heading back home. They will take on the Warner Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
West Shores scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 46-12 victory over Desert Chapel on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory West Shores has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Anastacia Garth, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joana Cabrera, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Warner entered their tilt with Calexico Mission with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Warner simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Calexico Mission 83-10 at home.
West Shores' victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Warner, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
West Shores beat Warner 26-16 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Does West Shores have another victory up their sleeve, or will Warner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
