Chariho faced Middletown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Chargers came out on top against the Islanders by a score of 6-3. That's two games straight that the Chargers have won by exactly three runs.

Chariho has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
