Quincy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Portola Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Quincy strolled past Loyalton with points to spare, taking the game 55-40.
Quincy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shelby Nussle, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Tatum Hughes, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Portola entered their tilt with Loyalton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Portola enjoyed a cozy 47-28 victory over Loyalton on Monday.
Quincy's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Portola, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.
Everything went Quincy's way against Portola in their previous matchup back in January as Quincy made off with a 61-36 win. With Quincy ahead 39-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
