It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Duarte Falcons can now relate to. The match between them and the Saxons wasn't particularly close, with the Falcons falling 52-35.
Leading Loara to victory were Angela Ngo and Sophia Rangel. Ngo dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Rangel dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rangel has scored at least a third of Loara's points. Laila Walker was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Duarte's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Loara, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-8.
Duarte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loara, they will take on Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Loara is coming into the matchup with seven straight victories on the road, so Adelanto is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
