Jefferson had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 3-12 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Middle Park Panthers with a sharp 35-20 victory. The Saints' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Middle Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 15 runs.

For Middle Park's part, Jamie Jordan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ayla Opsahl, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Jefferson will face off against Arvada at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middle Park, they will head out on the road to take on Moffat County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.85 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
