Baseball Recap: Northgate's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northgate won against Miramonte on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Broncos never let the Matadors get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Broncos as they're now sitting on three straight.

Christopher Flores was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shane Malloy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Northgate hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miramonte struck out ten times.

Northgate's record is now 10-6. As for Miramonte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Coming up, Northgate will square off against Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Miramonte, they will face off against Berean Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
