Meanwhile, Redwood got the win against El Diamante on Saturday by a conclusive 67-47.
Mission Oak better keep an eye on Jazmaine Stewart. She was instrumental in Redwood's win, shooting 50% from the field en route to 26 points and five rebounds. Those 26 points gave Stewart a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Powell, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 19 boards.
Redwood now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mission Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mission Oak has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Redwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 43 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mission Oak beat Redwood 49-37 in their previous meeting last Friday. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Stewart, who put up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.
