The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Battery Creek has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while North Charleston will arrive with six straight wins.
Two weeks ago, Battery Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to Beaufort.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jayvorie Cole, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mathis, who scored 12 points.
In what's become a running theme this season, North Charleston gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They put the hurt on Burke with a sharp 74-48 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win North Charleston has posted since December 15, 2023.
North Charleston's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simpson, who scored ten points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Onarae Grant, who scored 11 points.
Battery Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for North Charleston, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.
