Bear River proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Burbank Titans. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kaden Nicholls, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cooper Berry, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bear River pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Burbank, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Bear River has already played their next game, a 9-8 victory against Cordova on the 15th. As for Burbank, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against El Camino on the 14th.
