Glen Rose, which finished No. 2, and
Lipan, which won the Class 2A state championship and finished ranked No. 12.
Upperman (Baxter) comes in at No. 3 after reaching the Class 3A quarterfinals in Tennessee while South Dakota state champion
Hamlin (Hayti) and Illinois state champion
Okawville comes in at No. 5.
The Small Town Top 25 rankings are based on the MaxPreps computer rankings. They include only schools with an enrollment under 1,000 students from towns with a population of fewer than 10,000 people. Teams are listed with their season record, their computer rating and their postseason finish.
