The Mt. Diablo Red Devils put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 52-37 win over International. Given Mt. Diablo's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while International is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mt. Diablo can attribute much of their success to Natalie Dance, who scored 28 points. The game was Dance's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Zuniga, who scored 8 points.
Mt. Diablo pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for International, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Diablo will square off against Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for International, they will head out on the road to face off against Balboa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
