The Healdsburg Greyhounds will be playing at home against the Rancho Cotate Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Healdsburg will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.
Last Saturday, Healdsburg earned a 54-41 victory over Piner. Given Healdsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Piner is ranked 869th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cotate was able to grind out a solid victory over Windsor on Tuesday, taking the game 50-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rancho Cotate.
Rancho Cotate relied on the efforts of Nina Boblitt, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Janice Williams, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Healdsburg is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. As for Rancho Cotate, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
