East Central will take on Mesabi East at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Mesabi East will be strutting in after a win while East Central will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Things haven't been easy for East Central, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They have to be aching after a bruising 14-46 loss to Braham last Friday. The state rankings had actually given East Central a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, Mesabi East were able to grind out a solid victory over Rush City, winning 14-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for Mesabi East.
East Central didn't have too many spare points in their contest with Mesabi East the last time the two teams met, but they still walked away with a 24-18 victory. Will East Central repeat their success, or does Mesabi East have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
