The Vassar Vulcans lost against the Caro Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Vassar took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Vassar has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Vassar had strong showings from Trevor Gleeson, who scored 13 points, and Bryce Brown, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gleeson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Austin Long, who scored six points along with two steals.
Caro found their leader in underclassman Connor McGarry, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Valin Buniack was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Vassar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Caro, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vassar will take on the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kingston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Caro, they will be playing at home against the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Reese is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
