The MaxPreps Regional Baseball Rankings have two new No. 1 teams with St. Cloud Cathedral taking over the top spot in the Midwest and Sulphur returning to the No. 1 position in the South.
The other No. 1 teams include Hamilton in the Southwest, JSerra Catholic in the West and Punxsutawney in the Northeast.
The ratings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, which are posted twice a week.
The
five regions include the West (California, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon,
Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado), Midwest (North Dakota, South
Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri,
Ohio, Nebraska, Kansas), Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New
Mexico), South (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana,
Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia,
West Virginia, Maryland), and Northeast (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New
Jersey, District of Columbia, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts,
Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine).
Teams are listed with their record (some records may be incomplete) with the computer rating.
