Indio has gone 9-1 against Twentynine Palms recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rajahs are taking a road trip to challenge the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. Indio will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Monday, Indio got the win against Yucca Valley by a conclusive 16-1. Considering the Rajahs have won eight matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Salvador Guerrero looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jose Rodriguez and Julian Mandujano did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Mandujano went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Rodriguez is becoming a predictor of Indio's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-2 (and 4-9 when he doesn't). Andrew Garcia was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Indio hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Twentynine Palms came up short against Coachella Valley on Monday and fell 8-3. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mighty Arabs: they've now lost five in a row.
Twentynine Palms saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jandell Jiminez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Indio pushed their record up to 13-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Twentynine Palms, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Indio has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Twentynine Palms struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Indio took their victory against Twentynine Palms in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rajahs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
