The Alemany Warriors were the 63-49 winner over the Birmingham Patriots when they last played one another back in June of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Alemany ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-44 walloping at the hands of Birmingham on Thursday. Alemany's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Natalie E. Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samantha Velasquez, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
Alemany's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Birmingham, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Alemany's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hesperia at 3:30 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Hesperia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 last Friday. As for Birmingham, they will take on Calabasas at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
