They had to suffer through a rough 80-49 loss at the hands of Waterbury Career Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Naugatuck in their matchups with Waterbury Career Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Andrew Williams went supernova for Waterbury Career Academy, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zaire Lott, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Naugatuck bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Waterbury Career Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Naugatuck will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Waterbury Career Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
