It was a good run, but Druid Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Marist War Eagles. The Red Devils were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the six games prior), but the War Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Druid Hills' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Marist, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

While Druid Hills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
