Leah Bigthumb was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Traidyn Sutherland, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those RBI were her first of the season. Vanona Long was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Page always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .721. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Window Rock's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Page, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Window Rock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Page struggles in that department as they've averaged .454. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
