Baseball Recap: Esperanza's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Esperanza was the 8-3 winner over Sonora when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Aztecs came up short against the Raiders on Friday, falling 13-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Aztecs have suffered since March 15th.

Esperanza saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tungsten DeArte, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

With the loss, Esperanza broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8. As for Sonora, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Coincidentally, Esperanza and Sonora will both be playing Brea Olinda the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Aztecs will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
