Mt. Zion and Telfair County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mt. Zion had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Telfair County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

While Mt. Zion had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
