A Season-Best Performance from Kaleb Fox Leads Marshfield over Ashland
Kaleb Fox produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Marshfield to the win on Friday. Fox rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The win snapped Marshfield's losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record. Fox and Marshfield will be playing at home against Hidden Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Kristopher Baldwin Goes Supernova in Mazama Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Kristopher Baldwin stepped things up a notch to give Mazama the 'W'. Baldwin was dynamite, rushing for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
The victory got Mazama back to even at 3-3. Baldwin and Mazama will face off against North Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hadyn Widdicombe Delivers Best Performance of Season
Hadyn Widdicombe produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Marshfield to the win on Friday. Widdicombe picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 72 yards.
On the year, Widdicombe has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 48 receiving yards per game.

Lucas Folau Puts an End to Marshfield's Losing Streak on Friday
Thanks in part to Lucas Folau, Marshfield said goodbye to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season. Ashland had no answer to Folau on Friday as he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made seven total tackles. Folau is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Ashland had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Folau it was a similar story. Folau picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made five total tackles the last time he and the Grizzlies duked it out back in October of 2023.

Brody Van Gastel Makes It Two for Mazama
The second Mazama player making an appearance here is Brody Van Gastel, and for good reason. He rushed for 62 yards, and also threw for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending a pass.
For the season, Van Gastel has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 80.5 passing yards per game.
