Last Tuesday, Walnut Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Chestatee, but they still walked away with a 67-63 win. Given Walnut Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Chestatee is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The contest was Harpring's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trace Gaynes, who scored ten points.
Walnut Grove's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Marist, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
