The Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against Valor Preparatory Academy as Methodist Children's Home made off with a 61-36 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Methodist Children's Home has posted yet this season.
Methodist Children's Home got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Williams out in front who scored 18 points along with five steals. Daraun Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with four steals.
Despite the defeat, Valor Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: Bear Griesemer scored seven points along with five assists and two steals. Griesemer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Maddox Meline, who scored six points along with two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Methodist Children's Home and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Methodist Children's Home will play host again and welcome Hill, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against CenTex HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
