Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Clairemont Chieftains 56-11. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warhawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Madison pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for Clairemont, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crawford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Clairemont, they will take on Mission Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
