On Friday Concordia Academy take on Edison at 5:00 PM. The two teams each escaped (but just barely !) with wins against their previous opponents.
Concordia Academy took care of business in their home opener. Last Friday, they narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Roosevelt 28-26. The score was all tied up at the break, but Concordia Academy was the better team in the second half.
Edison had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out Brooklyn Center. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. Edison's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Concordia Academy defensive front that amassed 8.0 sacks against Roosevelt, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
