North Bend Central pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Howells-Dodge cut but never quite recovered from.
When it comes to explaining why Howells-Dodge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jade Bayer. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Bayer continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
