The Nipmuc Regional Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Nipmuc Regional is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
On Saturday, Nipmuc Regional got the win against Northbridge by a conclusive 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Gavin Metcalf, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Zach Duplesis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nipmuc Regional kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Advanced Math & Science Academy couldn't beat Uxbridge on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Eagles came up short against the Spartans, falling 21-7. The Eagles have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Logan Tripodi was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Kuscher, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Advanced Math & Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Nipmuc Regional, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Nipmuc Regional came out on top in a nail-biter against Advanced Math & Science Academy in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 3-2.
