After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northeast Bradford, the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Wellsboro by a score of 30-22. This was payback for North Penn-Mansfield, who suffered a 35-20 loss the last time these two teams met.
North Penn-Mansfield was led to victory by McKenna Lightner and Kameron Lightner. Lightner scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Lightner dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Elaina Shaw was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
North Penn-Mansfield pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Wellsboro, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
North Penn-Mansfield will be playing at home against North Penn-Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Penn-Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Wednesday. As for Wellsboro, they will head out on the road to face off against Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
