It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Loara Saxons had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-35 victory over the Falcons. Loara is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Leading Loara to victory were Angela Ngo and Sophia Rangel. Ngo dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Rangel dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rangel has scored at least a third of Loara's points. Another player making a difference was Laila Walker, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Loara has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Duarte, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
Loara will take on Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Adelanto has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Duarte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
