San Jacinto Valley Academy extended their winning streak  to three  on Friday, bumping them up to 5-3. They came within six  points of losing the streak, but they secured  a   47-41 W against the Desert Chapel Eagles. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the   38-20 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in October of 2024.
 San Jacinto Valley Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Victor Perez and  Nickolaus Alvarenga.
As for Desert Chapel,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-6. On the bright side, the 41- point  effort marked their highest-scoring  matchup to date.
 Despite the loss, Desert Chapel still got an impressive performance from   Samuel Mourhess, who threw for 306 yards and three  TDs, and also punched in a pair of  touchdowns on the ground. The Eagles' leading receiver  Jayvon Garcia was  Mourhess' top target yet again, picking up 203 receiving yards and three  scores.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Jacinto Valley Academy is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Nuview Bridge  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Desert Chapel will  take on  rival Vasquez  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. That  game will pit two of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Mourhess and  Zack Van Ornum.
