Leigh is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Capuchino is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Longhorns will host the Mustangs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leigh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Leigh made easy work of Scotts Valley and carried off a 10-1 victory. Considering the Longhorns have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyler Wagner looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Gio Olvera was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Leigh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scotts Valley only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Capuchino owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance last Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Burlingame.
Declan Mendel tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anakin Manuel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Capuchino is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Leigh, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Leigh hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. However, it's not like Capuchino struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Leigh skirted past Capuchino 2-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
