Mayfair is a perfect 6-0 against Lynwood since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Monsoons will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mayfair has four straight wins, Lynwood has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Mayfair's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Firebaugh with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Monsoons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Xavier Xilonsochilt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nolan Fox, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Andrade, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Mayfair kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Firebaugh only managed three hits.

Meanwhile, Lynwood lost 9-3 to Dominguez on Friday.

Mayfair's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Lynwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Mayfair took their win against Lynwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Monsoons repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
