The El Dorado Cougars are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Nevada Union Miners at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully El Dorado focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, El Dorado earned a 47-35 victory over Rio Americano.
Alana Schneider was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Schneider has scored at least 25% of El Dorado's points. Another player making a difference was Emma Fulton, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Nevada Union waltzed into Saturday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 37-30 win over Stevenson.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nevada Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katie Enos, who scored ten points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Enos has scored at least 25% of Nevada Union's points. Ari King was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Nevada Union, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
El Dorado couldn't quite finish off Nevada Union in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 and fell 49-46. Can El Dorado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
