Basketball Game Preview: Crenshaw Cougars vs. King/Drew Golden Eagles

Crenshaw and King/Drew are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Crenshaw Cougars will head out on the road to take on the King/Drew Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crenshaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.

Crenshaw is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Dorsey 87-20. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Jada Kindle was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 23 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Jaida Floyd, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.

Meanwhile, King/Drew strolled past Fremont with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 54-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

King/Drew's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points per game. As for Crenshaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Crenshaw took a serious blow against King/Drew in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-36. Can Crenshaw avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
