Make it nine blowout wins for the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans this season. They blew past Halifax 44-16 on the road on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Upper Dauphin Area sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Upper Dauphin Area was led to victory by Reagan Wentzel and Gracie Griffiths. Wentzel scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Griffiths scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Griffiths is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Mazie Bingaman was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Upper Dauphin Area has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Halifax, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Dauphin Area will take on the Blackhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Susquenita focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday. As for Halifax, they will head out on the road to challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Millersburg will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
