Rocklin extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 11-13-1. They blew past the Davis Sr. Blue Devils 12-2. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by exactly ten runs.
Kobe Nusz got the start for Rocklin and what a start it was: he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Nusz posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Rocklin let Max Griffith and Roman Castellanos run wild. Griffith went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Castellanos went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave Griffith a new career-high. Colby Cobb was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Rocklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive games.
As for Davis Sr., they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly ten runs.
On Davis Sr.'s side, they got a good showing from Andrew Cowan, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Cowan has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Davis Sr. saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Becker, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Rocklin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Oak Ridge on the 27th. As for Davis Sr., they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-1 defeat against Granite Bay on the 24th.
