Crimson Cliffs won the last time they faced Cedar, and Travis Murdock did his part to make sure it happened again. The stars were shining brightly for the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs in a 60-46 victory over the Cedar Reds on Friday thanks in part to Murdock, who went 11 of 15 on his way to 32 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game.
The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Carroll, who posted two points along with five assists and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.
The win made it two in a row for Crimson Cliffs and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Cedar, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
Crimson Cliffs and Tooele will round out the year against one another at at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Crimson Cliffs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Tooele likes a good challenge. As for Cedar, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
