Jefferson-Morgan took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brownsville. Jefferson-Morgan has struggled against Brownsville recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Jefferson-Morgan still got an impressive performance from Huston Guesman, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five assists. John Woodward was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Jefferson-Morgan has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Brownsville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson-Morgan will challenge Geibel Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Geibel Catholic is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Brownsville, they will head out on the road to take on Yough at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Yough will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
